Maurice has always
recognized the fact that good businesses are run by good people,
many of our employees have been with us for over 15 years, while
our veteran employees are key to making our business run smoothly
it is also important to have a continuous cycle of new people
training to fill in the spots that our veterans leave when they
retire. The sales training program was designed to create well
rounded, well educated sales professionals. Maurice recruits young
adults from colleges throughout the country to learn the electrical
trade. Each trainee spends at least three months in each of our
sales departments, while this is not nearly long enough to learn
the full scope of that department; it is enough time to become
competent in that area. Not only are the veterans teaching the
“new kids”, but also the trainees are able to offer their computer
skills to many of the “old timers” which allows the old to combine
with the new to create even better departments! The sales trainees,
once they’ve visited each department are able to choose where
they’d like to hang their hat.
